On construction sites, safety is always a top priority. Teams watch out for each other and manage visible risks, but some dangers arent so easy to spot. On average, almost two construction workers in the UK die by suicide every day. This course equips construction workers with practical, life-saving skills to recognise and respond to suicide risk among teammembers. Learners will explore how to spot subtle warning signs, hold direct and compassionate conversations, and connect people to the right support. Through expert-led video content, learners will gain a step-by-step approach to ask difficult questions, assess risk and take appropriate action, from immediate crisis response to ongoing check-ins. The course reinforces that mental health is just as important as physical safety on site, and that starting this conversation can save a life, not make things worse.
